Student:
I am writing an argumentative essay discussing the best activity that helps tertiary students unwind from stress.
I would like to ask if my chosen activity is 'dancing', could I add a rebuttal in the essay, e.g., comparing dancing with other kinds of activities like yoga?
I hope you could give me some pointers about this. Thank you.

Yes, including counterarguments and rebuttals would be a good way to show that you are aware of other alternatives and their benefits.
Remember to provide concrete evidence & reasons to prove that the activity discussed in the counterargument (e.g., yoga) is less desirable and that your suggested activity (i.e., dancing) is still the best option for stress relief after comparison.
You may refer to the following image for a step-by-step approach for refuting arguments in a debate, which bears resemblance to that in argumentative writing.
